My Gothenburg
Born in a part of Gothenburg called Linné in the seventies, I grew up in the same house my parents have lived in for half a century. That place shaped me as an artist, and I’ve often tried to capture my feelings for it in my work.

Prinsgatan
Looking down from Skansberget with Skansen Kronan behind me, I face Prinsgatan and the lovely view over Linné. Behind the church Oscar Fredrik, you can glimpse my first school — the place where I met the best friends I still spend time with today.
Alfhemsgatan
Drawn from Alfhemsgatan, this view looks toward the intersection where Nordenskiöldsgatan meets Nordhemsgatan.
Haga
Walking from Linné toward the city center, I often choose the detour through Haga. Those who know the area understand why. Haga Nygata is full of charming houses, cozy cafés, and independent shops.
Large view of Gothenburg
I call this picture large view of Gothenburg, but it’s mainly of Haga, Linné and Slottskogen in the distance.
The large chimney is Hagabadet and you can see the water tower in Slottskogen in the distance.
The image is available as a fine art print in the original 100 × 70 cm size.
Just a large paper, fineliners and lots of time
I love working on a project of this scale. I find the idea phase and sketching the hardest part. Drawing with fineliners is really relaxing, and I love having the work laid out in front of me, watching it grow over time.
